It’s Friday; work’s out for the next two days so let’s kick start the weekend in the best way possible – by getting social in our favourite bars.
We’re taking you on a whistle-stop tour of Manchester’s best bars. Sound good? Here’s where you’ll find us on a Friday night…
1. Wave Bar – Portland Street

Pens down, coats on – we’re thirsty! Our first port of call is Wave Bar – where a pint of beer starts from just £1.95. Plus it’s only a stone’s throw from our office. Did we mention the drinks are cheap? You can see why we like it!
2. Missoula – Portland Street
A few doors down is Missoula. With a great atmosphere, friendly bar staff and plenty of choice when it comes to cocktails, you can’t go wrong. All cocktails are two-for-one from 4pm ‘til 8pm – it’d be rude not to.
3. Mulligans – Southgate
It may be a 15 minute walk away, but it serves the best Guinness in the city. The Irish greeting céad mile fáilte (literally: a hundred thousand welcomes) never rang truer than at Mulligans. Live music and Guinness – what’s not to love?
4. Hold Fast – Newton Street
Steady on the Guinness, it’s time to head to the Northern Quarter where happy hour cocktails and free popcorn awaits! Yes, free popcorn. And happy hour drinks. We’re sensing a pattern here.
5. Piccadilly Tap – Next to Piccadilly Station
So it’s almost time to head home but before we do, there’s one last place we’re heading to – Piccadilly Tap. With an ever-changing menu of cask beers and 20 keg beers on tap, it’s a beer lover’s paradise. What’s that? They sell train beers for the ride home? Don’t mind if we do!
Are you heading out for a few drinks tonight? Share your favourite bars with us – we might see you there!
