Online ad spend to continue growing through 2010

Spending by companies on internet advertising is set to
continue growing through 2010, according to a report by the Advertising
Association
.

In a statement released today, the organisation said online
spend should hit 7.7 per cent by the end of the year. Television advertising
will experience the most growth this year with a 9.1 per cent increase in
spend.

The predictions will be welcome news for businesses, after
six consecutive quarters of decline in spending to January this year. Q1 of
2010 however signalled the turnaround with internet advertising spend growing
by 9.2 per cent.
